Maharoof has already crowns India the winners of the UAE's Asia Cup already

Farveez Maharoof predicts India will dominate the Men's T20 Asia Cup tournament scheduled across UAE venues from September 9 through 28. The former Sri Lankan all-rounder considers India the strongest contender based on current squad strength. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh emerge as potential surprise challengers according to Maharoof's assessment. T20 cricket's unpredictable nature means individual match performances determine tournament outcomes. India approaches this competition as eight-time Asia Cup champions with their last T20 victory occurring in Bangladesh during 2016.

The Indian team faces UAE on September 10 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium before meeting Pakistan four days later. Oman provides the final Group A challenge on September 19 at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Maharoof emphasizes India's pace bowling superiority with Jasprit Bumrah leading the attack. Arshdeep Singh, Hardik Pandya, Harshit Rana and Shivam Dube complete India's seam bowling options. This tournament prepares India for defending their T20 World Cup title across Indian and Sri Lankan venues next year.
