Manicaland Gears Up for Chimanimani Independence Day

Manicaland officials finished preparations for today's Independence Day event at Nedziwa Business Centre. Visitors from Mozambique's Manica Province will attend the celebration alongside thousands of residents. Provincial Minister Misheck Mugadza plans to deliver the presidential address during the ceremony starting at 9 a.m.

Every district across Manicaland will hold separate gatherings where people can watch the main event. Committee members handled everything from entertainment scheduling to building repairs. Security forces will perform special demonstrations for the crowd. A soccer match follows the main program this afternoon. The event highlights President Mnangagwa's commitment to include rural communities in national progress.

Officials expect representatives from all districts to travel to Chimanimani for the special day. Mozambique's State Secretary leads the international delegation visiting the celebration. Manicaland leaders promised to return the favor when Mozambique celebrates its independence in June. The provincial secretary called on everyone to join what he described as an important milestone for the country.
