Marcus Rashford rejects Saudi €40m bid, holding out for Barcelona

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has turned down massive Saudi Arabian money while keeping his eyes firmly fixed on Barcelona. The 27-year-old English striker walked away from a staggering 40 million euro payday from one of the kingdom's top clubs. Multiple suitors have come knocking at his door during the summer transfer period. Rashford refuses to budge from his dream destination despite the financial temptation. His heart remains set on wearing the famous Catalan colors.

Barcelona bosses are working on a potential loan arrangement that could stretch until the end of next season. The Spanish giants would include a purchase clause valued between 30 and 40 million euros for the England international. Rashford has agreed to slash his wages to help the deal comply with strict financial fair play rules. His representatives continue discussions with Camp Nou officials about finalizing the switch. The striker desperately wants to join Barcelona's pre-season preparations as early as possible.

Aston Villa welcomed Rashford during the second half of last season when he needed regular playing time. The Birmingham club gave him 17 appearances where he netted four times and set up six assists for teammates. His solid performances during the loan spell caught the attention of several European clubs. Villa Park proved to be the perfect platform for him to showcase his talents again. The temporary move helped restore confidence in his abilities after a difficult period.
