Marseille makes €28m bid for Igor Paixao, enrages Feyenoord

Marseille wants to snatch Brazilian winger Igor Paixao from Dutch side Feyenoord. The French club made their move with a 28 million euro bid for the talented player. Feyenoord turned down the offer and demanded 40 million euros instead. Both teams continue talking about a possible transfer that could break records. Foot Mercato reports the southern French club sees Paixao as their top summer target.

The Brazilian star lit up the Dutch league last season with incredible numbers. Paixao found the net 18 times and set up teammates for 14 more goals. His performances caught the attention of several European clubs looking for attacking talent. Feyenoord knows they have a special player and want maximum money for him. The winger's stats prove he can handle pressure at the highest level.

Marseille believes Paixao can transform their attack for the upcoming campaign. The club's officials think the Brazilian fits perfectly into their tactical plans. Negotiations remain active between both sides as they try to find middle ground. The gap between the offer and asking price creates tension but deals often happen this way. Paixao could soon be wearing Marseille colors if talks progress smoothly.
