Marumani crushes Namibia as Zimbabwe grabs title

Tadiwanashe Marumani remained unbeaten on 74 runs as Zimbabwe defeated Namibia by seven wickets on Saturday at Harare Sports Club in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier 2025 final. Both nations qualified for the 2026 tournament in India and Sri Lanka before the championship match began. Richard Ngarava claimed three wickets for 26 runs while Wellington Masakadza conceded just 22 runs in four overs as Namibia posted 167 for six.

Zimbabwe needed 11 runs from the final over, but Ruben Trumpelmann bowled a wide and two no-balls that Ryan Burl converted into boundaries. Dion Myers contributed 44 runs in an 88-run partnership with Marumani before Bernard Scholtz dismissed both Myers and Sikandar Raza on consecutive deliveries. The victory completed Zimbabwe's perfect five-match campaign in the regional qualifying tournament.
