Maryam Nawaz visits Alipur, shares a meal and gifts with flood victims

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif traveled to flood-ravaged Alipur tehsil within Muzaffargarh district. She examined devastated communities and visited the emergency shelter at Government High School Alipur. The Chief Minister presented financial assistance to bereaved families who lost relatives during the disaster. She consoled affected women and promised complete restoration support for survivors.

Maryam Nawaz demonstrated compassion by serving meals from communal kitchens and dining alongside displaced women and children. She engaged with young students about their education and participated in cricket activities with a girl who requested her involvement. The Chief Minister acknowledged Pakistan Navy contributions to rescue operations while receiving briefings from local officials.

District authorities reported that flooding impacted 394,000 residents spanning 147 villages throughout Muzaffargarh. Alipur tehsil experienced complete submersion of 26 villages during the catastrophe. Emergency responders established 37 relief centers and 8 temporary settlements to provide essential services.
