Masakazu Hirayama admits Ninja Gaiden 4 is only 15 hours long

Team Ninja revealed duration estimates for Ninja Gaiden 4 alongside fresh gameplay demonstrations. Game Director Masakazu Hirayama told Australian outlet Next Play that players require fifteen to twenty hours for initial completion. The developer confirmed that additional content becomes accessible after finishing the main campaign. Master Ninja difficulty mode unlocks upon story completion, while Challenge Missions provide extended gameplay opportunities. Chapter challenges offer further engagement beyond the primary narrative experience.

Challenge Missions feature enemy encounters under specialized conditions that differ from standard story sequences. Optional combat scenarios exist within the game's Purgatory system where players can place wagers before battles commence. These encounters expand upon the Tests of Valor concept from earlier franchise entries. The risk-reward mechanics encourage players to select difficulty levels that match their preferred challenge threshold.

Team Ninja collaborates with PlatinumGames on development while Xbox Game Studios handles publishing duties. The action title launches October 21 across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series platforms. Game Pass subscribers gain immediate access on release day.
