A former Zanu PF legislator, Shadreck Mashayamombe, has been reinstated into a party leadership position. The Rex Nhongo District appointed him as its local government secretary during a meeting at the Saturday Retreat in the Churu Constituency. This appointment signals his official return to an executive role.
Mashayamombe had previously been expelled from the party for his alleged association with the G40 faction, which occurred after Robert Mugabe's removal from power. He was permitted to rejoin as a regular member last year. His new post represents a full political rehabilitation within the party's structure.
