The new Miss South Africa earned advanced degrees before claiming her crown on Sunday at Sun City. Qhawekazi Mazaleni from East London completed undergraduate studies in Speech, Language and Hearing Therapy at Stellenbosch University. She pursued graduate work at the University of Pretoria, where she obtained a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology.
Mazaleni balanced academic commitments with modeling work while preparing for the pageant competition. She thanked supporters through social media after completing her degree program. The 2025 titleholder plans to focus her reign on education access, women empowerment, youth unemployment and civic engagement across South Africa.
