MCP botches fertilizer and farmers suffer

DPP senior member Clement Stambuli slammed the MCP government for farming problems across Malawi. He claimed MCP only handed out fertilizer once back in 2020 because the previous DPP leaders had already bought all supplies before leaving power. This proves MCP never created any real plans to keep farm programs running smoothly over time. The current government just rode on earlier success and completely failed afterward, according to Stambuli.

The MCP administration has ruined farming through terrible policies that hurt regular people who grow crops. Farmers everywhere struggle to find the basic supplies they need for planting and growing food. These problems cause hunger and money troubles for country families who depend on crops to survive. Speaking at a rally in Kasungu, Stambuli urged everyone to vote against President Lazarus Chakwera next election.

He insisted Malawi could not handle another term with the current leadership destroying everything. Only new government officials could fix the mess, especially for farming, which supports most of the nation's economy. Former President Mutharika's youth advisor, Dyton Musa, backed these claims during the same event. He reminded everyone that fertilizer cost just MWK 15,000 when DPP ran things.

Lower prices meant regular farmers could afford what they needed, which led to better harvests and stronger rural communities. Musa claimed fertilizer costs have exploded under MCP rule, pushing small farmers toward bankruptcy. These harsh criticisms show growing anger from opposition leaders about current agricultural management. DPP keeps increasing attacks against the ruling party as elections approach, promising they can bring back stability to farm policies. Malawian citizens must decide which party offers better solutions for their struggling farm sector.
