Chinese laptop maker MECHREVO plans to release their new gaming computer tomorrow. The company will launch the Kuangshi X Gaming laptop that uses NVIDIA's RTX 5050 graphics card. MECHREVO picked June 24th as their launch date even though NVIDIA has not made any official announcement about this date. Other laptop companies have not shared their release plans for RTX 5050 machines. Major computer sellers have already started listing these new gaming laptops on their websites.
NVIDIA has not confirmed whether RTX 5050 laptops will launch around the world on the same day. Chinese buyers will be the first people who can buy these new gaming computers. Desktop versions of the RTX 5050 graphics card should arrive next month according to earlier reports. The RTX 5050 represents the cheapest option among NVIDIA's newest graphics cards. This graphics chip uses the GB207 design and comes with 2560 processing cores along with 8GB of video memory.
Companies are still debating whether the RTX 5050 will use GDDR6 or GDDR7 memory technology. Laptop versions seem more likely to feature the newer GDDR7 memory type. NVIDIA designed this graphics card to run games smoothly at 1080p resolution without breaking budgets. The RTX 5050 will support DLSS 4 technology and Multi-Frame Generation features. NVIDIA will probably release upgraded Super versions of their graphics cards later this year.
