Metro Madness Grips St Petersburg on Victory Day

St. Petersburg warns locals and tourists about metro changes on May 9. Eight stations face special rules during the 80th Victory Day celebrations.

Admiralteyskaya station allows only exits from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. Both Ploshchad Aleksandra Nevskogo stations run from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Ploshchad Vosstaniya lobby 1 operates from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The second lobby at Ploshchad Vosstaniya stays open from 1 to 2:40 p.m.

Mayakovskaya shuts down completely from 2 to 3 p.m., and no trains stop there. Gostiny Dvor remains open until 11 p.m., and staff make changes based on crowd size. Gorkovskaya allows only exits from 9 to 10 p.m.

The metro service announced vestibule two at Nevsky Prospekt would be closed entirely on May 9. Vestibule 1 permits only entries. Officials asked travelers to use the nearby Gostiny Dvor station during these times.
