Min Aung Hlaing signs away future to Russia's ROSATOM

Myanmar's military chief met with Russia's atomic energy leader during bilateral talks yesterday morning. Senior General Min Aung Hlaing discussed nuclear cooperation prospects with ROSATOM Director-General Alexey Likhachev at the Moscow session. The officials examined peaceful nuclear technology development and workforce training programs for Myanmar's infrastructure projects. Union ministers signed formal cooperation agreements between ROSATOM and Myanmar's science and electric power ministries.

Both leaders exchanged ceremonial gifts following the diplomatic session. Science Minister Dr Myo Thein Kyaw and Electric Power Minister U Nyan Tun participated in the agreement ceremony. Commission officials and ROSATOM Deputy Director-General Nikolay Spasskiy attended the proceedings. The partnership advances Myanmar's nuclear energy capabilities through Russian technical assistance and education programs.
