Modi throws Rs 62,000 crore at youth to buy votes

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch youth-centered programs valued at more than 62,000 crore rupees on Saturday to advance education and skill development nationwide. The government plans to upgrade 1,000 Industrial Training Institutes through PM-SETU with 60,000 crore rupees in funding while establishing 1,200 vocational labs at residential schools across 34 states and union territories. Bihar will receive special attention through multiple initiatives, including monthly allowances for 500,000 graduates and interest-free education loans of up to 4 lakh rupees.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur Skill University and dedicate facilities at the National Institute of Technology campus in Bihta, which accommodates 6,500 students. Four universities in Bihar will receive foundation stones for academic infrastructure valued at 160 crore rupees to benefit 27,000 students. Modi will distribute appointment letters to 4,000 government recruits and release 450 crore rupees in scholarships for 2.5 million students through direct transfer payments.
