Mohammed Salisu visits President Mahama, gifts AS Monaco jersey

Mohammed Salisu stopped at President John Dramani Mahama's house during his vacation time. The Ghana defender brought a special gift for the country's leader. He handed over a Monaco away jersey as a present. The visit happened at Mahama's home around Accra. Salisu wanted to show respect to the president during his break from football.

The 26-year-old player had tough times during the recent season. Monaco signed him from Southampton before the campaign started. Salisu began playing really well against teams like Barcelona during Champions League matches. Health problems stopped him from playing many games later. These issues hurt his chances to help Monaco throughout the year.

The center-back still managed to play 24 games for his French club. He found the net three times during those appearances. Monaco competes against other teams around France each week. Salisu fought hard despite dealing with physical setbacks. His performances showed he can play at the highest level when healthy.

Different clubs want to sign the talented defender for next season. Salisu hopes to bounce back stronger when football starts again. He plans to work hard during the summer break. The player missed out when Ghana picked their team for the Unity Cup tournament. Otto Addo left him out of the squad that traveled to London for those matches.
