Museveni Blasts Foreign Ideals to Save Africa

President Museveni asked African leaders to stand against foreign ideas that harm family values. He wants them to push for economic links between African countries. The speech happened at a meeting about family values at State House Entebbe, where many parliament leaders came together. Museveni said he sees himself joining what he called a Continental Resistance Movement. He believes people trying to spread wrong values will fail.

Museveni attacked global groups that pressure African nations to accept foreign ideas about sex rights. He quoted the Bible, saying children should learn things fit for children, not adult topics. The president said families need both moral strength and economic power to survive. When Uganda passed its anti-gay law, some countries stopped trade and loans, but the economy still grew by over six percent. He said foreign pressure works because African nations remain poor and separate.

The president called for all African nations to trade freely with each other. He stopped people who wanted to ban rice from Tanzania. African farmers need bigger markets to sell their goods. Museveni believes Africa must create its own market rather than depend on aid, which never brings real wealth. He thinks unity brings strength, but staying apart keeps Africa weak.
