The president said Dei BioPharma makes many helpful drugs near Kampala. The company plans to make thirty different kinds of medicine and shots at its building in Matugga.
"They are making many kinds of drugs and shots," Museveni said. He thanked Dr. Matthias Magoola, who started the company. The president added that local experts found a way to stop ticks from hurting cattle.
Dr. Magoola leads the Dei Group of Companies. He thanks the president for helping local experts make new answers to health problems.
The drug-making center has good news for jobs. It plans to hire 40,000 people right away, and many more will find work helping with other parts of making medicine.
The center wants to make a billion special shots, following rules set by world health leaders. These leaders say the center can help fight COVID-19 and other sicknesses in Africa.
