Musona Returns to Warriors After Retirement

All right, folks, guess who's back in action? None other than Knowledge Musona! That's right, the star player has decided to put an end to his international retirement and rejoin the Warriors.

Musona originally hung up his cleats for the national team in May 2022. He wanted to focus on playing for his club and give some of the younger guys a chance to shine. But after Warriors coach Michael Nees worked his magic and convinced him to reconsider, Musona had a change of heart.

The 34-year-old forward is now part of the squad that's gearing up to take on Benin and Nigeria in the next round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers for Group C. Musona's no stranger to the national team - he's been a key player for 12 years, racking up 54 caps and scoring 24 goals.

These days, you can catch Musona tearing it up in the Saudi Pro League, where he plays for Al Okhdood. He's not the only veteran making a comeback under Coach Nees, either. Khama Billiat and Washington Arubi have also returned to the fold. Billiat had previously retired from international play, and Arubi had fallen out of favor with the national team.
