Myanmar, China hold anti-trafficking talks in Yangon

The 14th Myanmar-China meeting on cooperation against human trafficking took place at the Parkroyal Hotel in Yangon. Myanmar’s delegation was led by Officiating Police Brigadier General Zaw San, head of the Anti-Human Trafficking Police Force. China’s team was led by Director Wang Yong Can from the Anti-Human Trafficking Department under the Ministry of Public Security.

Both sides discussed cross-border trafficking trends, shared intelligence, and explored ways to strengthen joint investigations. They reviewed methods to rescue victims, arrest traffickers, and prevent illegal border crossings. The meeting focused on improving coordination, exchanging information, and reducing human trafficking between the two countries through practical cooperation.
