Luton Town keeps Zimbabwe player Marvelous Nakamba for another season as he enters his final contract year. The club confirmed he will stay despite their fall from the Championship to League One last season. Nakamba joined from Aston Villa first as a loan player in January 2023. He later signed a three-year deal that runs until June 2026. The 30-year-old might attract interest from teams in higher leagues because of his experience with Aston Villa and Club Brugge.
Young striker Matthew Takawira left the club after his youth contract ended. The 18-year-old joined Luton when he was just 14 years old. Born in England but eligible to play for Zimbabwe, Takawira could not secure regular games with the under-18 team. He must find a new club to continue his football career. Several other players also left Luton as the team adjusted after relegation.
Former Chelsea star Victor Moses and goalkeeper Tim Krul head the list of departing senior players. Both brought top-league experience to the team during their time at Luton. Between them, they played more than 440 Premier League matches during their careers. Moses even won a league title during his time at Chelsea. Amari Bell also leaves after spending four years with the club.
