President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah plans to appoint three task forces within the next week to address economic recovery, health, and housing. She announced the plan on Saturday at the Helao Nafidi Business Expo in the Ohangwena region, saying the move follows the recent Namibia Public-Private Forum.
She said the goal is to make the environment more welcoming for private investment in national development. The government will adjust policies to enable business activity, while companies are expected to align with priority areas for social and economic progress. The forum will shift to an annual event to give the public and private sectors a regular platform to coordinate roles in nation-building, economic advancement, and inclusive growth.
Nandi-Ndaitwah said she expects a stronger forum next year and framed the partnership as a path to create jobs, cut poverty, and support shared prosperity.
