NDA crushes opposition as Bihar voters pick tyranny

A Matrize Opinion Poll projects the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance will secure 150-160 seats with 49 percent of votes in Bihar's upcoming assembly elections, while the RJD-Congress-Left alliance trails with 36 percent support, translating to 70-85 seats. The survey conducted by Matrize News Communications shows Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj Party may capture 7 percent of votes, and win 2-5 seats in the 243-member legislature. Both the BJP and the RJD are expected to perform the strongest with 21 percent vote shares each, while Congress lags at 8 percent despite its campaign efforts. Nitish Kumar's JD-U is forecast to improve its 2020 performance with 18 percent support and secure 60-65 seats, while Chirag Paswan's LJP maintains 6 percent backing.
