Nga Kor Ming stands firm on 20 tonnes of rubbish left after the Turun Anwar rally

Housing Minister Nga Kor Ming defended statistics regarding waste accumulation after Saturday's opposition rally. The Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing Corporation provided the twenty-tonne figure following their cleanup operations. Perikatan Nasional organized the political gathering that generated substantial debris across central Kuala Lumpur locations. Workers deployed extensive resources to address the environmental aftermath of the demonstration.

Parliamentary questioning arose when Awang Hashim, the Pendang representative, challenged the waste calculations. Nga acknowledged that Unit Amal volunteers assisted with cleaning efforts while maintaining the accuracy of official measurements. Debris spread throughout the Sogo shopping center, Dataran Merdeka, and Jalan Petaling required comprehensive remediation. The minister condemned participants for displaying poor environmental stewardship during their assembly. Rally organizers faced criticism for failing to maintain proper sanitation standards at the political event.
