Niger Bandits Kill Villagers Rustle 200 Cattle

Armed criminals attacked three villages on Tuesday, and killed many people across Niger State. Over 100 gunmen raided Zagzaga, Chibani, and Kuch communities during the violence. The attackers stole more than 200 cattle from local farmers. Families ran away from their homes to escape the dangerous situation. Many villagers died during the brutal assault on their communities.

The criminals burned down houses and took food supplies from frightened residents. They kidnapped several people during their deadly raids across the area. Security forces stationed at the Kuchi community fled when gunmen set fire to their camp. The attackers moved from one village to another, destroying property everywhere. Local sources said the criminals gathered at the Kusasu community before launching their attack.

Commissioner Bello Abdullahi Mohammed confirmed that the attacks occurred, but lacks detailed information about the casualties. Governor's adviser Jonathan Vatsa called the violence barbaric and condemned the killings. He blamed local informants for helping criminals avoid capture by security forces. These informants make it harder for the government to stop attacks and protect innocent people. Officials could not reach the local government chairman for additional comments.
