Nine people died after two vehicles crashed on the Takoradi to Agona Nkwanta road last Saturday evening. The accident happened between five and six when a passenger car from Mankessim tried to pass a truck but failed. Both vehicles fell into a ditch after they hit each other head-on. People nearby rushed to help the injured before police arrived at the scene. Several hurt passengers went to the Takoradi Government Hospital and the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital for medical care.
