Ninova calls Borisov pitiful for crediting Peevski with the government and the eurozone

Kornelia Ninova attacked Boyko Borisov over remarks he made at a GERB youth gathering. The Unrepentant Bulgaria leader posted her criticism on Facebook after Borisov praised Delyan Peevski. Borisov told young party members that Bulgaria would have no government or eurozone membership without Peevski. He also claimed the country would have no future at all without the New Beginning party leader.

Ninova called Borisov's comments the most pathetic display she had ever seen from a political leader. She accused him of complaining about being powerless without Peevski's support. The opposition leader said Borisov admitted both his party and the entire country depend on Peevski's control. Ninova questioned what kind of leverage Peevski might hold over the former prime minister.

The Facebook post also criticized Borisov for failing to discuss youth issues during the party meeting. Ninova pointed out that he offered no information about policies for young people or their future opportunities. She expressed frustration that party leaders ignored topics relevant to their young audience. Ninova described the entire situation as tragic for Bulgarian politics.
