NSB Revelations Expose Mahama Govts Secret Spending

Lawyer Martin Kpebu says Adu-Boahene's claims fail to answer legal charges against him. He believes the public learns from these statements despite their limits. Kpebu notes that money tracking remains the main issue. The Attorney General found cash moving from Signal Bureau accounts into private company hands.

The former Signal Bureau head wrote that nearly one million cedis went to pay lawmakers who helped pass their agency law. He denied stealing money and argued that all spending served proper government purposes. His letter showed that over five million cedis were marked for election work last December. Another half million bought generators for what papers called human safety needs.

Kpebu thanked Adu-Boahene for showing how officials use public funds. He thinks these facts support longtime citizen concerns about government spending habits. Former president Akufo-Addo had denied that such practices had happened. The case grows more complex as both sides share details about national security spending.
