NVIDIA's DLSS 4 targets The First Descendant, Death Relives

Nexon will implement NVIDIA DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation technology into The First Descendant this Thursday. The free-to-play shooter currently features DLSS Super Resolution, Frame Generation, Ray Reconstruction, DLAA, Reflex, and ray tracing capabilities. Season 3 launches August 7, delivering enhanced performance for GeForce RTX 50 Series users through Multi Frame Generation functionality.

DLSS 4 accelerates gameplay performance by 4.9 times compared to native rendering speeds. The RTX 5090 achieves 226 frames per second with ray tracing active and DLSS Super Resolution configured to Performance Mode using the transformer model. RTX 5080 users experience 192 frames per second under identical settings.

Season 3 introduces Nell, a new playable character wielding telekinetic powers that launch energy spheres and convert gunfire into weak point strikes. The update expands gameplay through the Axion field area, Colossus boss encounters, and mountable vehicles for faster travel. Turkish developer Nyctophile Studios also integrated DLSS 4 into Death Relives, their Aztec mythology-inspired survival horror title that earned 83 percent positive Steam reviews.
