Oscar Piastri rips Lando Norris over Singapore crash

Oscar Piastri criticized teammate Lando Norris after their first-lap collision at the Singapore Grand Prix on Sunday. Piastri questioned whether McLaren approved of Norris forcing him wide after contact with Max Verstappen sent Norris into the Australian driver. The championship leader expressed frustration over the radio, and he challenged the team's decision not to penalize Norris for the incident.

Piastri told his race engineer the maneuver was unfair, but stewards cleared Norris of wrongdoing. Former Formula One driver Martin Brundle defended Norris on the race broadcast, and he described the move as aggressive but acceptable racing. Brundle suggested McLaren prioritized securing the constructors' championship over internal disputes between drivers.

The collision recalls a similar 2024 Italian Grand Prix incident between the McLaren teammates. Both drivers continue competing for championship positions as their rivalry intensifies heading into the remaining races.
