The Osun State All Progressives Congress (APC) has attacked Governor Ademola Adeleke over the failure of development projects across the region. Kola Olabisi from the party's media office released a statement criticizing the administration on Tuesday. APC leaders called the governor's claimed achievements fake and worthy of public condemnation. The opposition party accused Adeleke of taking a lazy approach to managing state affairs. Road construction problems at the University of Ilesa represent the worst examples of poor governance.
APC officials pointed out that a road at Aduragbemi community washed away just one day after workers finished building it. The university road project shows extremely low construction standards that even ordinary citizens can recognize. Former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola established the University of Ilesa before becoming Minister of Marine and Blue Economy. Contractors working on these projects belong to the ruling People's Democratic Party. The opposition claims these builders take advantage of the governor's lack of experience to steal money from the state.
The party accused Adeleke of combining the works ministry responsibilities with his regular duties as governor. This arrangement creates problems because the governor lacks the proper skills for both jobs. APC leaders demanded that contractors return to construction sites and complete work that matches international quality standards. The statement described current projects as a waste of limited government resources by an incompetent administration.
