Oyarzabal leads Spain past Georgia 4-0

Spain secured a commanding 4-0 triumph against Georgia in Tbilisi during World Cup qualifying, with Mikel Oyarzabal starring through two goals and one assist to push the European champions to the edge of qualification for the 2026 tournament. The Real Sociedad forward converted an early penalty after a handball before Martin Zubimendi and Ferran Torres added further strikes, while Oyarzabal completed his brace with a header following the interval.

Switzerland defeated Sweden 4-1 to establish a three-point advantage atop Group B heading into the final round, with Breel Embolo, Granit Xhaka, Dan Ndoye and Johan Manzambi all finding the net despite Benjamin Nygren's equalizer for the visitors.

Austria moved closer to qualification with a 2-0 result against Cyprus, while Belgium was held to a 1-1 draw by Kazakhstan. Wales edged Liechtenstein 1-0, Denmark shared four goals with Belarus, and Scotland fell 3-2 to Greece.
