Pakistan climbed to 100th place on the Henley Passport Index 2025 rankings. The country jumped 13 spots from its 2021 position at 113th place. Pakistani citizens can visit 32 countries without getting visas ahead of time or receive visas when they arrive. Henley and Partners released the latest global passport rankings recently. This marks a major improvement for Pakistani travel freedom.

Mustafa Jamal Qazi leads the Immigration and Passports department and praised the achievement. He thanked Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and the Interior Secretary for their help. Pakistan added new security features to its passports that meet world aviation standards. The e-passports contain special computer chips that work without contact. These improvements made other countries trust Pakistani passports more.

Airport systems will soon use electronic gates for faster processing of Pakistani travelers. The passport office cleared all delayed applications across the country. Pakistani citizens living abroad can apply for passports through internet services. A mobile app called Passport Fee Asaan lets people pay fees quickly. Officials plan to launch another app that allows home passport applications.

The passport ranking could improve further with continued government support. Modern passport offices handle applications much faster than before. Service quality has gotten much better for people seeking new passports. Officials expect Pakistan to climb higher on future passport power rankings. The country continues working to expand travel opportunities for its citizens.
