Parliament appointed five legislators as commissioners to the Parliamentary Service Commission for a term lasting from 2025 to 2030. The newly confirmed members are Fred Penjani Kamlepo Kalua, Chifundo Makande, Daniel Chitonya, Ismail Mkumba, and Beatrice Roseby Mwale.
Kalua noted that the commission now features a younger demographic, which he believes enables a reform-oriented agenda. He stated that this generation aims to make parliamentary activities more responsive to the public.
The commissioners plan to improve public engagement, governance inclusivity, and leadership effectiveness during their five-year term.
