Pastor Orders Church Elders to Shape Up or Get Fired

Pastor MacLean Benefo Brempong leads Salvation Chapel International and plans to fire church officials who date members. He told male staff they must stop having affairs with women who attend services. The pastor said that these relationships often cause people to quit coming to church altogether. Leaders who skip services for extended periods face immediate dismissal from their positions. Brempong wants to end sexual misconduct among his church workers.

The pastor shared a story about a married man who brought his wife for prayers. The husband discovered a church elder was sleeping with his spouse behind his back. The betrayed man stopped attending services after catching the elder with his wife. Brempong visited the husband and learned about the painful situation firsthand. This incident illustrates how leadership misconduct can drive away faithful church members.

Pastors spend tremendous effort winning new souls for their congregations through evangelism work. They focus especially on reaching women who need spiritual guidance and support. Church leaders destroy this hard work when they pursue romantic relationships with female members. The pastor believes these affairs undermine the entire mission of building strong congregations. Brempong demands that his staff respect the boundaries between ministry and personal relationships.
