Pearl Bank received the Banking Services General Banking Accolade at the 2025 Financial Reporting Awards held on November 5 at Hotel Africana. The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda organized the ceremony alongside the Capital Markets Authority and Uganda Securities Exchange to honor institutions demonstrating excellence in transparency and accountability practices. Chief Financial Officer Peter Ssenyange credited the recognition to management support and noted that such platforms allow financial institutions to evaluate performance against industry peers.
The awards, established in 2011, encourage organizations to exceed basic compliance requirements while aligning financial decisions with broader societal objectives. Pearl Bank previously earned multiple honors this year, including sustainability recognition in Germany and CFO of the Year distinctions for Ssenyange. The institution continues implementing its five-year strategic framework focused on expanding financial access and supporting entrepreneurial development across Uganda.
