Peter Obi visit leaves Obidients feeling left out

Peter Obi came to Bauchi State recently without telling local Obidients, which upset many group members. The ObiDatti Coalition Chairman in Bauchi, Elder Abel Musa, talked to reporters Monday about this problem. He explained how skipping this step hurts all the hard work their movement did before, during, and after the 2023 elections. Their ongoing projects aimed at improving Nigeria feel ignored when such things happen.

Musa pointed out that actions like these might discourage people who joined the movement because they wanted to fix serious national problems. These issues include bad leadership, dangerous security situations, crumbling infrastructure, and prices that keep climbing higher every day. He challenged the idea that Obi just made a personal trip, since cameras broadcast everything live online and news teams covered it completely, including when Obi answered questions from people.

"Our members felt pushed aside during the visit, which created unfortunate and provocative feelings," Musa explained. He praised how mature all coordinators and key people acted by calming down anyone who felt angry. They helped remind everyone that creating a New Nigeria remains possible despite these bumps in the road. Musa asked all Obidients to stay focused and keep sticking to their values despite these challenges.

He requested that Peter Obi and his team change how they handle these situations going forward. Musa believes the Obidient Movement should participate when Obi visits different states across Nigeria. This kind of teamwork matters greatly if they want to bring back the excitement that seems to be fading because of recent choices. As background, Peter Obi visited Bauchi days ago for private talks with Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, who leads the PDP Governors Forum. Both political figures suggested they discussed possible ways to approach the upcoming 2027 General elections together.
