Prasidh Krishna floored by a bouncer, India A swaps helmet for a headache

Fast bowler Prasidh Krishna received a helmet strike during India A's second unofficial Test against Australia A in Lucknow. Medical staff conducted a mandatory concussion assessment before Krishna resumed batting for three additional overs. The injured player then departed the field, with Mohammed Siraj taking his position at the crease.

Officials designated Yash Thakur as Krishna's concussion substitute when India A completed their innings at 194 runs, responding to Australia A's total of 420. Medical personnel have not disclosed the extent of Krishna's injury, though selectors will monitor his condition closely. India's cricket board plans to announce the Test squad for the forthcoming West Indies series on Wednesday.

Krishna competes for selection alongside established pacers Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Akash Deep. His recent England tour produced 14 wickets across three matches at a 37.07 average. However, his current A-series performance shows modest returns with limited wicket-taking success in both completed matches.
