President Mnangagwa to launch youth empowerment strategy at Harare symposium

President Mnangagwa will lead the National Youth Empowerment Symposium at Harare Agricultural Show Grounds this week. The Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training organizes the two-day event starting July 31. Officials schedule the formal opening for August 1 when the President launches the National Youth Empowerment Strategy. The government aims to connect young people with entrepreneurs, agencies, and private sector partners through this platform. Director Ransom Madzamba reports that 5,000 participants will attend the symposium.

The event addresses gaps in information, mentorship, and market access that limit youth economic participation. Two hundred youth enterprises from agriculture, technology, arts, energy, tourism, and manufacturing will display their work. Government departments and development partners will demonstrate available support programs. Presidential Certificates of Excellence will recognize outstanding young business leaders during the ceremony. The ministry plans to expand similar events across all provinces to reach more young people throughout Zimbabwe.
