Prospect Lithium Zimbabwe (PLZ) is receiving praise from the government. The company just announced a $1.3 million plan to help local communities. The money will go to projects for young people and women and to building needed things.
PLZ shared the news at a big event held at Vhuta Primary School in Goromonzi. Dr. Apollonia Munzverengwi was there. She is an important government leader in the area. Dr. Munzverengwi said PLZ is doing a great job. She said the company is helping the government make life better for everyone.
"PLZ's projects will lift our communities," she said. "They will make sure growth never stops in Goromonzi." Dr. Munzverengwi pointed out that PLZ is following the president's big idea. The idea is that no one and no place should be left out.
PLZ wants to solve some of the biggest problems in Goromonzi. It will work on community health, provide job training, help women do more, and ensure people have the energy they need.
Dr. Munzverengwi believes these projects are a big deal. She said they will create jobs, strengthen the local economy, and benefit the whole province.
PLZ didn't forget about older people, either. The company gave special gifts to 84 homes where older adults are in charge. Dr. Munzverengwi said this was a very kind thing to do, like giving them Christmas.
"The gifts will help older people stay healthy," she said. "Many older people feel alone. Programs like this make them feel part of the community again."
