PSI Audio splits big speakers off, nearfields stay retail-ready

PSI Audio is splitting up how they sell their monitors. Their bigger, more complex speaker systems will now only be sold through specific certified partners. This new Custom Pro range includes models like the A23-M, the A25-M, and the flagship A226-MAIN. The company says this move is to guarantee proper setup and acoustic integration in a customer's room.

Until now, everything was just grouped as the a series. The smaller nearfield models, such as the A14-M and the A21-M, will stay available through regular dealers. The goal with the large system shift is to pair the hardware with expert installation and demo services from trained retailers. A list of these approved partners is already posted on the PSI Audio website.

The change effectively creates two tiers of distribution. One is for the standard nearfield and broadcast models that a buyer might install themselves. The other, stricter channel is for the larger main monitors and subwoofers that need more careful calibration. The company stated this ensures customers get the best possible listening experience, not just the speakers alone.
