PSP preQursor3 launches with advanced analog modeling and enhanced EQ controls

PSPaudioware has released PSP preQursor3, a major update to its EQ plugin, offering enhanced precision and a range of new features. The plugin introduces PSP's uniquely designed filters, featuring low resonance peaks, excellent band separation, and narrow notching for precise attenuation. All four filters are bell-type filters when boosting, with progressive Q factors for smoother transitions.

PSP preQursor3 includes advanced analog modeling for preamplifiers and filters, allowing for more accurate emulation of analog processes. The analog modeling can be applied individually per instance or globally, providing flexibility across tracks or the entire mix.

Key new features include a built-in 31-band analyzer, multi-step Q factors, a redesigned analog emulation engine, and wider frequency ranges for greater flexibility. It also features an analog overload LED for authentic analog-style feedback and improved system compatibility.

The plugin offers four bands of parametric equalization, including high- and low-pass filters, and supports input channels for Left, Right, Mid, Side, or both. Additionally, it offers FAT double sampling for low sample rates and 64-bit double precision for ultra-low errors. Other features include optional preamp emulation, a second-generation SAT (saturation) option, and a 31-band bar analyzer with an optional spectrum curve display.
