A Jamaican authenticity coach received recognition at the Human Resource Management Association of Barbados 30th Anniversary Gala held at Sandals Royal Barbados, where Queen Simone Maghanza earned the Public Choice Award as the sole Jamaican attendee. She dedicated her honor to those recovering from Hurricane Melissa and emphasized how embracing truth empowers others to follow suit.
Maghanza overcame personal struggles with self-esteem and societal expectations to become the first woman legally permitted to use the royal designation Queen before her birth name. Through her LoveUnuhSelf Initiative, she has reached more than 12,000 individuals worldwide and prevented seven suicides.
Her upcoming publication, Give Birth to Yuh Authenticity, will launch globally on March 8, 2026, coinciding with International Women's Day, and is currently available for advance purchase through Amazon. The award adds to her Caribbean Posh Icon Woman Award for Empowerment in Action.
