Real Madrid drops interest in Stuttgart's Angelo Stiller

Real Madrid crossed Angelo Stiller off their shopping list for midfield players this summer. The Stuttgart star had people talking about a possible move to the Spanish giants after some great games in Germany. Spanish newspaper AS reported that club leaders changed their minds about bringing him to the Bernabeu. The 23-year-old midfielder caught attention with his strong performances during the season. Madrid bosses decided he does not fit their plans moving forward.

Xabi Alonso apparently asked the club to find someone who could run the midfield and set up plays. The former Liverpool star wanted Madrid to add a player who could take charge of games from the center of the pitch. Club officials turned down his suggestion about signing a new midfielder. They believe their current squad has enough talent to handle the workload. The coaching staff will have to work with what they already have.

Madrid still has not made up their mind about adding any midfield reinforcement. The club wants to wait until after the Club World Cup before making final choices. Team executives prefer to see how current players perform during the tournament. This approach gives them more time to evaluate their options. The summer transfer window remains open for several more weeks.
