Red Dead Redemption rated for PS5

A new native version of Red Dead Redemption appears to be in development for current-generation consoles and the next Nintendo system. This is indicated by a recent ESRB rating for the title on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo platforms. The rating summary matches the game's previous mature classification.

This native port is expected to offer significant technical enhancements over the existing backward-compatible versions. While the game is already playable on these systems, the new release will likely target higher resolutions and a 60 FPS performance benchmark. Such improvements would bring the console experience closer to the advanced PC version, which supports high frame rates and features like NVIDIA DLSS.

The game is also scheduled for a mobile release on iOS and Android devices through Netflix in early December. This multi-platform strategy suggests a concerted effort to expand the classic title's availability with modernized performance.
