Rekha Gupta pushes the BJP drive in the Delhi MCD race

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta led campaign efforts for the Bharatiya Janata Party ahead of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi by-elections, visiting multiple locations, including Najafgarh and Shalimar Bagh. Gupta emphasized that rural villages within the capital experienced prolonged neglect under prior administrations but asserted her government has accelerated infrastructure improvements across neighborhoods and municipal wards under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's direction.

The chief minister instructed party workers to communicate development achievements directly with residents while promoting BJP candidate Rekha Rani for Ward 128. During interactions with resident welfare association members, Gupta highlighted infrastructure progress within her Shalimar Bagh constituency and urged support for candidate Anita Jain to continue advancement.

Voting for 12 vacant ward positions will occur with 53 total candidates competing. The Bharatiya Janata Party previously controlled nine of the contested seats. Results will be tabulated following the conclusion of polling.
