Rollas tells Nollywood stars to drop the online drama

The head of Nigeria's actors union is telling members to quit fighting online. Emeka Rollas, the outgoing president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, posted a sharp warning on Instagram. He said the AGN will punish any member who uses social media to call out colleagues or air personal disputes. Rollas stated this falls under the guild's existing rules and disciplinary steps.

He called these public online arguments damaging and childish. They hurt the reputation of the whole Nollywood film industry, according to him. Rollas insisted that posting accusations does not deliver real justice. It just creates more division and spreads false information. He urged actors to use the guild's official internal channels to solve problems instead.

Rollas is finishing his term soon, with new leaders taking over. He asked every member to show better behavior to support the incoming executives. He wants actors to act with professionalism and some self-control, on the internet and off. The goal is to protect the industry's image and handle disagreements privately with some maturity.
