Russian GM Kiriakov leads Dhaka chess camp for FIDE Cup

Russian Grandmaster Petr Kiriakov launched a two-month chess training program in Dhaka on Monday, bringing together Bangladesh’s top players. The initiative, organized by the Bangladesh Chess Federation and supported by the Bangladesh Olympic Association, aims to strengthen the skills of elite competitors before upcoming international events. The training runs through October and November, focusing on preparing International Masters Mohammad Fahad Rahman and Manon Reja Neer for the FIDE World Cup Chess in Goa, India, from October 30 to November 27.

Several of Bangladesh’s leading players are participating, including IM Md Minhaj Uddin, IM Abu Sufian Shalik, FM Subrata Biswas, Mohammad Shaker Ullah, FM Mohammad Javed, Anata Choudhury, FM Md Sharif Hossain, FM Sheikh Nasir Ahmed, FM Nayem Haque, and the country’s top female players.
