Ruto Ducks Shoe in Migori Crowd

Isaac Mwaura spoke out against someone who threw a shoe at President Ruto during his Migori County visit on Sunday. Videos spread online showing Ruto dodging the flying footwear as he talked to people in Kehancha, Kuria West. Three people sit in jail cells after police arrested them for the attack.

The government wants anyone involved caught fast. Mwaura asked what lessons such acts teach children across Kenya. Interior Minister Murkomen confirmed that police have already made arrests. Politicians from both sides called the shoe throw wrong.

MP Anthony Kibagendi raised an alarm about how bad things could have gone. He worried about what might happen if someone had a gun instead of a shoe. Foreign Affairs Committee head Nelson Koech called it a dangerous step nobody should take. Senator Onyonka said nothing makes such actions okay.

The event reminded many Kenyans of 2015, when someone threw a shoe at President Uhuru in the same area. That incident stopped projects from moving forward in the region.
