Ruto meets Boulos to strengthen US ties

Kenya's President Ruto talked with Mr. Boulos at the State House on Sunday. Mr. Boulos is a top helper for President Trump. During their chat, Ruto said Kenya values its friendship with America. He promised they would work more together on buying and selling goods, growing money, feeding people, and keeping peace near Kenya.

Mr. Boulos just became Trump's main helper for African matters a few days ago. He already helps Trump learn about Arab countries and Middle East problems. The State Department told everyone about his new job on Tuesday. Their speaker, Tammy Bruce, made the news public to all reporters.

Mr. Boulos must visit several countries in East Africa right away. His travel plans include Congo, Rwanda, Kenya, and Uganda. He needs to check what is happening in East Congo, where many fights are breaking out. America wants to help fix these big problems that hurt many people.

The two leaders met at the official house where Kenya's president lives and works. They smiled and shook hands for the cameras. Both men talked about how their countries can help each other succeed. They agreed that when America and Kenya work as partners, both places win.

This visit shows that America cares about what happens in Africa. Mr. Boulos brings messages from Trump to African leaders like Ruto. He listens to what these countries need and carries those words back to America. Kenya stays an important friend to the United States in this part of the world. Both nations want to make trade bigger between them.
