Sabrina Fortune smashes shot put world mark

Sabrina Fortune captured her fourth women's shot put F20 title on Monday at the 2025 World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi. The British athlete established a world record of 16.75 meters at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. India's Rinku Hooda secured the men's javelin throw F46 gold medal with a championship record distance of 66.37 meters. Rinku defeated three former champions during the competition.

His teammate Sundar Singh Gurjar earned silver with 64.76 meters. Switzerland's Catherine Debrunner broke the 800-meter T53 record with a time of 1:40.15. The evening session produced five additional championship records. China led the medal standings with four gold medals, and India climbed to sixth place after claiming two golds.
